Adult Blood Sample Collection

We are searching for adult volunteers with insulin-dependent diabetes to take part in our study researching into the Genetics of Type 1 Diabetes. If you think you would like to help with our study we will require a small blood sample (less than 2 teaspoons full).

We would like to hear from you if you:

• Have insulin dependent diabetes diagnosed under 16 years of age
  
• Are over 18 years of age
  

To find out more about helping us with this important research please read the information sheet and consent form (in Adobe Acrobat format) that you would be asked to sign.

• Adult Information Sheet - this is usually presented as a folded leaflet, with the local consultant's contact details added. In this case we would act as your first point of contact, though samples will be collected locally;
• Adult Consent Form - this is usually presented at a clinic, and is signed at the time a sample is taken.
